Researcher Spotlight: Felipe Peters
By donating to the Feline Conservation Foundation you are helping us to purchase more research equipment to further study and educate others about Geoffroy’s cats!
Researcher Felipe Peters, studies Geoffroy’s and other small wildcats in Brazil. Felipe earned his degree in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Luterana do Brasil - ULBRA, Canoas/RS. He has experience in zoology, emphasis in mastozoology: taxonomy of recent groups and ecology. He has been working professionally for 13 years as technical manager for the company Área de Vida, meeting state and federal environmental licensing demands related to wildlife. He is academically active in two lines of research. He is affiliated with the Pró-Carnívoros Institute, where he is part of a study group in Neotropical Feline Ecology and the ULBRA Museum of Natural Sciences (MCNU), participating in the study group on Systematics and Evolution of Small Rodents and Marsupials. By contributing to Felipe and his research, your will be used to purchase game trail cams and GPS collars. Felipe and his fellow research partners use these items to further study Geoffroy's cats in the Pampa Biome of Brazil. |
